Santa Giusta Beach is one of the most beautiful spots in Sardinia. Located near the Scoglio di Peppino, it is a destination we highly recommend for your holidays!
Santa Giusta is one of those places where you go to spend a completely relaxing vacation. It’s no coincidence that it’s one of the most loved and frequented beaches in southern Sardinia. In this exceptionally beautiful cove, everything contributes to creating an enchanting atmosphere. Its shallow seabed and available services make it a favorite spot for families.
It is also the beach of the Scoglio di Peppino, a granite boulder shaped vaguely like a turtle, visible just a few meters from the shore. The rock is named after a fisherman, Peppino, who loved to fish in this spot.
How to Reach Santa Giusta Beach
Santa Giusta Beach is located on the eastern coast of southern Sardinia, in the municipality of Castiadas, north of Cala Sinzias and at the gateway to Costa Rei. From Villasimius, take Provincial Road 125var toward Costa Rei. Upon reaching Castiadas, follow the signs to Santa Giusta. Once you park, a short walk leads directly to this splendid beach.

Santa Giusta Beach and the Scoglio di Peppino
A few meters from the coast, a large light-colored granite boulder emerges from the water, vaguely shaped like a turtle—this is the Scoglio di Peppino. Named after a fisherman, Peppino, who apparently loved to fish there, the rock can be reached in just a few steps from the shore. From there, you can admire the dreamlike scenery:
-
The Beach: The seabed is made of fine white sand with golden reflections, mixed with small pebbles, reminiscent of the nearby Costa Rei beaches. One side is closed by a rocky cliff—perfect for relaxing walks along the shoreline.
-
The Sea: The crystal-clear water, reflecting the sunlight, creates exceptional light effects. The seabed is so shallow that the water near the shore warms up, almost giving the impression of being in a pool rather than the sea.
-
The Vegetation: The dune behind the beach is covered with dense Mediterranean scrub, typical of this part of Sardinia.
