It is one of the island’s most characteristic stretches of coast, protected from the Mistral wind, where sea lilies, palm trees, and typical Mediterranean scrub vegetation thrive. In some areas, rocks emerging from the water create natural pools. The most iconic is the “Scoglio di Peppino,” located on Santa Giusta Beach.
How to Get to Costa Rei Beach
Costa Rei Beach is part of the municipality of Muravera, in the province of Cagliari. It stretches about 10 kilometers from Porto Pirastu to Cala Sinzias. Taking the coastal road to Villasimius, you reach Via Ichnusa, from which small roads lead to the various access points along this long beach.

Facilities at Costa Rei Beach
Most of Costa Rei is free, although some areas are equipped. You’ll find simple bars or kiosks as well as refreshment points. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent, and in some beaches, even dinghies. The shallow seabeds make these beaches especially suitable for families with young children and for tourists with reduced mobility.
