Historic records relate that the original building was founded by the Friars (this is proved by the small church still present on the site); over the years it was turned into a flourishing farm as it can be inferred by the structure and also by the orchard.
Because of the ancient features still visible (such as wooden walls, clay and straw bricks, stone pavements, wooden and iron-wrought pieces of furniture) the hotel is considered as a National Trust building.
Its special location makes it unique: close to the mountains of the Nature Park “Sette Fratelli”  and just a 5 minute walk from the sea.
